United in Yachting Tradition
Yacht clubs have always stood for more than hosting regattas. Across the country, clubs share a mission to promote sailing, preserve seamanship, inspire the next generation, and support meaningful sailing endeavors.
This challenge is designed to honor that tradition, together, in spirit.
With a contribution ($1,000+) to Guy deBoer’s 2026 Golden Globe Race campaign, your burgee will:
Board Spirit in Les Sables d’Olonne, France prior to the start of the Golden Globe Race on September 6, 2026
Race around the world, sailing towards the great capes—including the legendary Cape Horn
Be signed by skipper Guy deBoer upon completion of the nearly 9 month circumnavigation
Be returned to your club with documentation and imagery from the race as a commemorative keepsake
Your club can then proudly display this one-of-a-kind piece of sailing history as a symbol of its commitment to seamanship, adventure, and American offshore sailing.
Burgees must be received no later than July 31, 2026 in order to participate in the circumnavigation.
